Write for Al Hashmi Health Articles

If you practise, teach or study Unani medicine and you have something useful to say to patients, we would like to read it. Articles we accept are published under your own name.

Who we are asking

Articles are read by patients deciding whether to seek treatment, so we look for people who treat or study:

  • Unani physicians — BUMS, MD, or in practice anywhere
  • Postgraduate students and research scholars in Unani and allied systems
  • Allied practitioners writing on regimental therapy, nutrition or lifestyle
  • Anyone with clinical experience of a condition our patients ask about

What we publish, and what we do not

We are glad to read

  • Writing about a condition, a therapy or a formulation, in plain language a patient can follow
  • Clinical claims with a source named — a text, a paper, or your own stated experience as your own
  • Between 600 and 60,000 characters — roughly 100 to 10,000 words. The counter under the box is what the form measures, and a short piece that is complete is better than a long one that is not.
  • Markdown or plain text, with headings. We handle the typesetting and the images

We will not publish

  • Anything promoting a product, a clinic or a service, including yours
  • Diagnosis or dosage advice written as instructions to a reader
  • Text generated by a language model, or published elsewhere already
  • Anything asserting a cure, or discouraging somebody from conventional treatment

Everything is read by one of our physicians before it goes anywhere near the website. We may edit for clarity, ask you for a source, or decline it — and we will tell you which.

What happens after you send it

  1. It arrives in our editorial queue. Nothing is published and nothing appears on the website yet.
  2. One of our physicians reads it in full.
  3. If we accept it, it becomes a draft here and we edit it — the title, the summary, the images and the internal links.
  4. We email you before it goes live, and again with the link once it does.
  5. If we decline it, we email you and say why. The article stays yours.
  • We cannot pay for articles.
  • There is no account and no way to edit a submission after sending — email us and we will amend it.
  • We do not publish everything we receive, and we do not guarantee a date.

Send us your article

Paste the whole article into the box. There is no draft to come back to, so keep your own copy.

Exactly as it should be printed above the article, qualifications included.

The only way we can reply. We do not publish it or add you to anything.

Printed under your name if the article is published.

A sentence a patient would search for. We may rewrite it.

Roughly. Our editor sets the final one.

One per line. An article with no sources can still be published as opinion — we will label it that way.

By submitting this form you agree that we may contact you about your request. Details reach our reception team through a private staff chat on Telegram — see our Privacy Policy for what is sent and how to book without it.
